Belize: Does the Horror Resort “Royal Kahal” Hide Deadly Secrets About Toxic Gas?
Â
The mysterious deaths of three young American women of Moroccan descent—Kaoutar  Naqqad (23), Imane Mallah (24), and Wafae Elarar (26)—at the Royal Kahal resort in Belize on Saturday, February 22, 2025, have sparked widespread controversy. The situation escalated when local newspapers hastily attributed the cause of death to a drug overdose, without waiting for an official medical report or statement. These rushed conclusions, which left no room for alternative explanations, have raised numerous questions. After all, it seems highly unlikely that three women would consume the exact same dose of drugs and die simultaneously.
Â
Incident Details
According to reports, the women arrived at the resort on Wednesday, February 19, went out the following day, and were recorded returning by security cameras at 7:00 PM. From that moment on, they were not seen leaving their suite.
On Friday, housekeeping staff attempted to clean the suite but received no response. When they returned on Saturday and knocked multiple times without an answer, they finally entered the room—only to find the women dead, with yellow foam around their mouths. (See Article 1)
This raises a pressing question: how could they have so quickly found and purchased drugs in a country they were visiting for the first time? The local media’s unsubstantiated embrace of the drug overdose theory casts doubt on the official narrative.
Â
Legitimate Questions Raised by the International Public
1. The Unusual Speed of Obtaining Drugs:
Is it plausible that the young women managed to find drug sources within just 24 hours of arriving in a foreign country? How did they locate dealers so quickly? Who acted as the intermediary? And does this incident expose an unspoken danger lurking within Belize’s tourism industry?
Â
2. The Mysterious Timing of Death: A Puzzle That Raises More Doubts!
The last recorded sighting of the women was when they entered the resort on Thursday at 7:00 PM, suggesting that their deaths likely occurred between Thursday night and early Friday morning. The shocking contradiction: why did the hotel management fail to notice anything until Saturday? How could three unexplained deaths go unnoticed for such an extended period? Was this a case of extreme negligence, or was something deliberately covered up?
Â
3. The Overdose Narrative Under Scrutiny: Is There a Hidden Truth Behind Their Deaths?
The Overdose Hypothesis—Logical Questions That Challenge It
How could all three women die at the exact same time due to an overdose? Scientifically, the effects of drugs vary from person to person based on body composition and tolerance levels, meaning that the likelihood of all three dying simultaneously is highly improbable. At least one of them should have been able to call for help or show distress signals. Even in the worst-case scenario, why didn’t the third woman attempt to escape or alert hotel staff? Are we dealing with an unsubstantiated theory, or are there hidden details yet to be revealed?
4. Food or Chemical Poisoning—A Hypothesis That Raises More Questions!
Food Poisoning
If food poisoning was the cause, why didn’t any of the young women attempt to seek help when the first symptoms appeared? Typically, food poisoning presents with gradual symptoms such as nausea and severe pain, giving the victim enough time to call for medical assistance or ask for help. Was the poisoning unusually fast and lethal? Or was there another factor that made it impossible for them to seek aid?
Chemical Poisoning
Chemical poisoning, on the other hand, can result from ingesting a toxic substance that causes sudden organ failure and rapid bodily collapse, potentially leading to instant death. Was the poisoning so fast-acting that it left no time for them to react? Or is there another yet-unknown cause at play?
The most pressing question remains: Was a thorough and precise toxicology test conducted? Or was there an unjustified delay that further deepens the mystery surrounding this case?
Â
5. Toxic Gas Leak—A Silent Death or an Unsolved Mystery?
Could the women have inhaled a toxic gas that led to their deaths without giving them a chance to escape or call for help? Carbon monoxide, known as the “silent killer,” can cause unconsciousness and death without warning. However, the baffling question remains: why were there no signs of distress? Was the leak sudden and fatal within seconds, or are there still undisclosed details waiting to be uncovered?
Â
Yellow Foam and Locked Doors… Were the Victims Exposed to a Toxic Substance?
Inhaling carbon monoxide (CO) can lead to silent death, especially during sleep. This possibility cannot be ruled out, particularly since the Royal Kahal resort relies on gas-powered water heaters to supply hot water to all suites. If there was a ventilation system failure or an undetected leak, it could have caused poisoning without the victims realizing what was happening.
Â
Carbon Monoxide: The Silent Killer That Shows No Mercy!
Carbon monoxide (CO) is known as the “silent killer” for a good reason:
• It is colorless, tasteless, and odorless, making it deadly without victims realizing they are in danger.
• It is lighter than air and highly flammable, allowing it to spread quickly without leaving any visible traces.
• Inhaling high concentrations can cause unconsciousness and death, as it prevents oxygen from reaching the brain, making escape nearly impossible in many cases.
If this gas was the cause, how was it not detected in time? Was negligence a factor in this tragedy?
Was the “Paradise Plane” suite properly inspected and ventilated before the authorities were contacted?
Â
Carbon Monoxide Asphyxiation: A Silent Death with Mysterious Symptoms
Inhaling carbon monoxide can cause severe poisoning and silent suffocation, as the gas replaces oxygen in the bloodstream, leading to a critical lack of oxygen supply to vital organs. In severe cases, this can result in unconsciousness followed by death, leaving no chance for the victims to call for help.
Â
Symptoms of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
• Severe dizziness and confusion
• Nausea and vomiting
• Intense and persistent headache
• General weakness and sudden fatigue
• Unconsciousness without warning
• Yellow foam discharge
• Respiratory failure
Notably, yellow foam was found in the victims’ mouths, a potential sign of acute poisoning, asphyxiation, or respiratory failure. What raises even more suspicion is that one of the victims was found lying near the bathroom door, as if she had experienced sudden unconsciousness or severe nausea. She may have been trying to vomit—or even attempting to escape and call for help in her final moments—but was unable to do so.
Â
Yellow Foam… A Mysterious Clue That Could Reveal the Cause of Death!
The presence of yellow foam in the victims’ mouths is a serious indicator of several possibilities:
• Asphyxiation due to gas poisoning, leading to sudden respiratory failure.
• Fluid accumulation in the lungs (pulmonary edema), which can result from carbon monoxide poisoning or severe oxygen deprivation.
• A heart attack or stroke caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain, leading to total organ failure.
These scenarios raise urgent questions: Was the suite thoroughly inspected for a toxic gas leak?
Will the investigations uncover the full truth behind this deadly mystery?
And what about the missing toxicology report—is the authorities’ silence an attempt to cover up the tragedy of Royal Kahal?
Â
Investigations Ongoing, Suspicions Rising
So far, authorities have not released a final medical report determining the exact cause of death, deepening doubts about the official narrative and fueling international calls for a transparent and independent investigation. Amid mounting pressure, there are increasing demands for the FBI to intervene to ensure the integrity of the investigation and uncover the full truth.
Despite several days passing since the incident, the toxicology report remains missing, adding further mystery to the case. What raises suspicion is that the overdose theory was widely promoted before any official medical confirmation. Were the bodies even subjected to toxicology tests, or is there an unjustified delay in releasing the results?
But the biggest question remains: Why did the Belizean press rush to push the overdose theory and present it as fact without clear evidence? Are we witnessing an attempt to cover up the truth, or are there hidden details yet to be revealed?
